Hey all! Welcome back to my blog! Today's post is simply an overview of my bangkok trip this year, and some of my recommendations! You don't have to go there, this is totally up to you, but this is just where I would revisit if I had the chance to return to Bangkok!
I decided to make a short post on this because I realised that not everyone would have the time and patience to read all my 7 lengthy posts I did on the 4 days I was in Bangkok. Plus, some people just want to read short descriptions (specialties, prices, how to get there etc) and not want to be too spoiled by pictures, so if you are one of those people, this post is for you:-)

1. Platinum Mall
Platinum Mall has been widely described as the go-to place for fashion shopping. I couldn't agree more! They sell everything from women's/men's/children's clothing, to makeup brushes, hats, shoes, bags, and even laptop cases! I managed to snag around 10+ pieces for myself, and I would've bought more if I wasn't tired. What surprised me the most when I visited Platinum Mall, was the amazingly huge food court with food sold cheap, and yet so yummy! One thing that has been overlooked by many, to me, are the food trucks outside Platinum Mall. These serve as a good after-shopping snack!

2. Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market
Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market is probably one of the TOP highlights of my Bangkok trip. Although I didn't explore all 6 zones, I was very satisfied simply exploring the 2-3 zones. This floating market is packed with locals, which also means that the food is way cheaper and better compared to other commercialised and not-so-authentic floating markets like Damnoen Saduak. We ate tons of food there and the meals I had here were the best I've had in my entire trip to Bangkok! (Probably the cheapest too!) I had Pad Thai | 60 baht (SGD2.40), 200g Roast Pork | 100 baht (SGD4), Boat Noodles | 50 baht (SGD2) and more! The ones I mentioned are just my favourites.
How to get there:
Take the train to Bang Wa BTS station (S12) then take a cab.

3. Safari World
Many people visit Bangkok for the amazing shopping and eating experience. No one ever thinks of Safari World as a must-visit in Bangkok, but I honestly think Safari World is underhyped. I guess the advantage is that when you visit, there is no need to squeeze through large crowds, deal with long queues or put up with loud tourists. To me, Safari World was one of the top points of the trip, next to Khlong Lat Mayom floating market. Although it was a little pricey, the drive-through gave a spectacular view of the animals roaming around, something so beautiful, even the best photographers can't do justice to.

4. Chatuchak Weekend Market
When I arrived, most stores were unfortunately already closed, but I still had a great time trying out street food! From coconut ice cream, to mango sticky rice, roti and more, all sold at astonishingly low prices! And all delectable as ever! In my opinion, the street food here was the best, including the coconut ice cream. We also found caps at just 100 baht and the best orange juice ever for 30 baht!
Tip: Explore the stores on the outside rather than the inside. These stores seem to have better prices and better things!
How to get there:
Take the train to Mo Chit BTS station OR Chatuchak Park MRT station.
The market is only a couple minutes walk away from the station(s) and all you have to do is follow the crowd!
