Hey lovelies!! Welcome back to my blog!! Today's post is about my visit to Platinum Mall! We decided to give this mall a visit because we heard about the wholesale prices and wide array of clothing.
To get to platinum mall, the easiest way is to take the train to Siam BTS station. After that, you can take the sky bridge to Central World and cut through the mall. Just exit from Isetan at level 1, walk out of the Central World compound, walk a few more minutes on the main road (follow the crowd!!!) and you'll get there! Do note that Central World only opens at 10am, so if you want to cut through Central World, you will have to get there after 10am! If not, you'll need to walk a whole big round in the heat!
A ticket from Asoke BTS station to Siam BTS station is about 28 baht per person.

Initially, we alighted at Chit Lom BTS station and took the sky bridge to Central World. We realised that Central World is actually nearer to Siam than Chit Lom (the sky bridge connects Siam and Chit Lom stations) after awhile, but it is okay, because along the way, you get to see many interesting things such as this shrine! Plus, the walk was very pleasant and windy. Up on the sky bridge, you'd simply completely forget about the traffic down below.
After a few minutes of walking, you should find an escalator that leads to the inside of Central World:
Unfortunately for us, it was closed as we arrived about half an hour before the opening hour. So do take note of this if you're planning to take the bridge!! We wound up having to walk on the ground level around Central World (which is actually a whole bunch of buildings - offices @ Central World, Zen World, Groove @ Central World and Central World itself). But we did cut through Central World on the way back, which believe me, is WAY faster and WAY more comfortable.
We finally reached Platinum mall after a while and I don't have any photos because I was way too excited to shop :P
Platinum Mall has 3 zones: Zone 1 & 2 are in the same building, Zone 3 is in a separate building, connected by a bridge on level 2 and a zebra crossing on level 1. I would recommend taking the lift from the top floor and working your way down at Zone 3, and then crossing over to Zone 1/2. At Zone 1/2, the top floor has an incredible food court. We decided to settle there for lunch!

OYSTER OMELETTE - stall P13
75 baht
SGD3
PAD THAI GLASS NOODLES - stall P13
50 baht
SGD2
COCONUT ICE CREAM
2 scoops for 63 baht
2 scoops for SGD2.50
The coconut ice cream was amazing!! It was thick and flavourful, and ONLY 63 BAHT?!?!?! I still can't believe it. PLUS, the scoops are huge! These two scoops can easily be the same amount as 3-4 scoops in Singapore, and 1 scoop in Singapore already costs about $3+.
After awhile, we decided to explore zones 1 & 2! We bought about 15 pieces in total if I'm not wrong!! Everything there is just so cheap:P
One thing we noticed - if the shop doesn't state the price, it's usually expensive. When I have to ask for the price of clothes, I tend to find myself having to turn it down because it's always above 400 baht, which just isn't in my budget. We shopped for another 1-2 hours and decided to head home because our feet were killing us.

By the afternoon, the food trucks outside Platinum mall would've opened and this is one of the food trucks that caght our eye!
4 cheese balls = 60 baht (SGD2.40)
6 cheese balls = 90 baht (SGD3.50)
10 cheese balls + 1 free = 150 baht (SGD5.90)
I would suggest getting the smallest one if you're in a small group because the cheese balls are really filling! But they taste really good!:-) I got Butter & Milk, Original, Pizza, and Ham. In my opinion, Pizza and Butter & Milk were the best!
